Dr. Rao Kolluru is a scientist, environmentalist, spiritual futurist – and a true “out of the box” thinker. He has engaged in consulting, writing and teaching across four decades in America and Asia. He has broad experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Rao’s many books include Risk Assessment and Management Handbook: For Environmental, Health, and Safety Professionals. His works also include Begin Anew and the delightful parables of River of a Thousand Tales. The later brings together sometimes irreverent reflections on science, spirit, business, and wellness. The son of a physician, Rao grew up in India, Europe and America. He earned his MBA from New York University and his doctorate in health sciences from Columbia University. He started a recent conference on Public Health Risks and Private Initiatives at Columbia asking “Are you CONSCIOUS…” To quote from Begin Anew, one must be “grounded in facts but not limited by them.” Rao has two books in progress: his Profits and Prophets is a primer for commerce in India; How to Become a Good Doctor is a “Handbook of Medical Education and Practices in India and America.” This work is co-authored by Dr Ratnam Mullapudi, MD, FACS. Rao brings a wealth of cultural and healthcare knowledge to global strategy in India and other emerging markets.
